Sometime in June*
I remember I still kept you. No matter how distant or hopeless it felt. Your hand stayed in mine. It's safe to say we went through it or maybe we pulled eachother through it, honestly the description doesn't feel like it matters much. What matters however, is, I am *still yours and you are *still mine 🌹.
I remember reminding myself unintentionally on the reasons I fell in love with you. They just seemed to litter my thoughts. Always falling, effortlessly, through the cracks in my hard outer shell of pride and anger. I remember, selfishness and a clouded sense of judgement tried their best to argue with what they saw. Loudly they roared, though, I think they knew their works and efforts would always be beaten by memories and actions (Bris), that don't even bother to make their case. Bris just existed, *still does, unapologetically 🌹.
I know it hasn't always been easy, I know it won't always be. But, I will pray that "any port in a storm" never applies to our situations. That we may be given strength to weather these storms. To steel ourselves and eachother until the day we *PROST to our testimonies! ✊🍻
Too many things lined up perfectly, for 2 imperfect people.. it would be foolish to believe in coincidence. To this day, we have evidence of God speaking to us, in both good and bad times. And I do *still hope to never take this for granted.
There will always be things I hold dear that can not be argued with. That *piece🌹 I have of you.. is 1 of them..

A sun set, a man laid to rest. Today marks 13 years since the last time we spoke.
This place has meaning and sorrow, an amount of sorrow I was able to share with someone who is special to me. I wish you 2 could have met. I hold onto your memories, keeping alive the thoughts that smile at your name. I hope to see you again someday.. in a place were we'll dance like you used to.
