This meant a lot to me for many reasons. To be featured in my hometown newspaper, to have 3 people who I’ve known collectively for almost 40 years included in this feature and to be recognized for WHO I am, not for what I do as an occupation is the ultimate recognition one could receive and I’m eternally grateful for it. 🙏🏼

We’ve gotten lost with the new standards in society. Where somehow our “value” is measured on how many “friends” we have, or how many followers we’ve accumulated, or what “cliques” we’re in. We need to get back to what really matters: Character, Integrity, Kindness, Empathy, Positivity, Work Ethic. @suavexavier_ embodies these important qualities and I’m grateful to call him a friend. If your circle doesn’t embody these characteristics and values, it’s time to make some changes. 💯

In today’s world, sadly it’s more of a “me” not “we” mentality. People are fueled by selfish desires and controlled by their insecurities and fears. If we spent the short time we have to make a positive difference and elevate the people around us, instead of acting with the sole focus to alleviate our own insecurities, fragile egos, and self-hate, the world would be a much better place. More kindness, empathy, love, understanding, and impact — it’s needed now more than ever. ❤️

Life is finite. Take advantage of the time you have to tell the ones you care about how much they mean to you. If you think of someone, call them. If you miss someone, text them. It’s so easy to assume you have tomorrow, or even the following 15 minutes. Know what truly is important, what isn’t, and move accordingly. 🙏🏼
