Oregon - On a walk to the drugstore we spotted a Blockbuster and Solo said it’s the last one. We went inside and sure enough, it’s the last Blockbuster video rental in the world. I don’t know why the people of Bend have kept alive this franchise forgone in most of our worlds. The concert was great.

Hello summer lovers,
I’m home now after wrapping up the Moon Mountain Trio Tour. All the shows were great but the stand outs were Boulder and Buena Vista. There’s always a little extra magic in the mountains. I’ll never forget the show in Boise because we played in an old Shriner’s hall. I put a picture of it up on Instagram. It’s the one with the Egyptian scenes painted on the walls.
It’s been really great to be back on the road with a band. Touring solo acoustically gets pretty lonely and I do a lot of that kind of touring all by myself. The shows are always fun and interacting with you all is always great but there’s always some people who want to dance and its hard to provide dance music all by myself. We got some people dancing on this tour.
I have a few things to take care of at home and then I go back out with @phillyglove and @mihalimusic . I’ve never met Mihali but he seems like a sweet guy. G and I go way back. We’ve climbed mountains together, written songs and vacationed together. I love that man. We’re going to have a great time. Check the tour dates and come see us.

Colorado - anytime someone asks me where my favorite place to play is, I always say anywhere in Colorado. I love mountains and mountain people. In Aspen, I had a lot of little chit chatters in the crowd. Little talky talkers wanting to talk it up. It got me stuck in my head and I couldn’t get out until I went on a rant about hippies and hippy haters and how Aspen still has a lot of hippies and how no one likes a mean hippy. That got their attention and it was a party vibe from then on. Boulder was a pretty epic show. I was watching people dancing, even up in the balcony. Tonight I’m in Telluride and tomorrow I’m in Buena Vista. Come and see the singer who loves you.

Montana - Awesome to be here for three shows in this great state. The first show in Bozeman was a lot of fun. I told the crowd a story about how a lady in a restaurant in town asked if I was a guitar player in a band. When I told her I was, she said she knew it because I seemed cocky. So I’m going to be thinking about that one for a while. After the show we went back to the hotel and bumped into my old friend @ben_moon who was in town for a a photo shoot. Here’s a late night pic with Ben and @solokeys I love Montana. We’ve been playing several new songs and two of the songs have Montana references, so I guess I must really, really love Montana.

Idaho - We got to Boise a little early and went straight to a music store. I wanted to buy a cheap electric guitar to play on the remainder of the tour. (My other electric guitar broke in Bend). I found this Epiphone SG on clearance and it sounds awesome. In the music store parking lot I bumped into Donavon Frankenreitor and his crew. They were playing in Boise too and looking around for instruments to buy. It was good to see them. Our show was at an old Shriners hall.

Nevada- I love playing the crystal bay casino. The morning after the show I jumped in the lake and then went across the street for a hike up the mountainside for a view looking back at California. I asked the crowd if anyone has ever booed at a concert. Only one guy said he has and then everybody started booing him. I told them to knock it off. I’m all about love people.

First up, California- Family photo Backstage at Mill Valley. Somebody didn’t want to be in the picture. It was cold and windy but the people showed up for the outdoor show. It was so cold! I told the crowd I’d come back sometime in the summer. Not everyone got the joke.
