Dear Washington D.C.,
Words cannot describe the immense joy I had this past weekend. I am so thankful for Amnesty International and Glendale Community College who gave me the privilege to advocate for change. I could not be more proud to have represented Amnesty International at GCC while at the conference and the US Capital. Amnesty International taught me how I can be a brighter light in my community and gave me the direction I endlessly appreciate. I am so grateful to have met so many activists from across the world. I found incredible beauty from the diverse community and their anecdotes of human rights violation which remind me why I was here. I will never let go of the moments I had to see your culture, touch your walls, smell your cherry trees, hear your streets, and feel your history. I will see you again and I look forward for the future opportunities you pave for me.
Sincerely,
Bridgette Belle
