And then THIS happened. I know of course that this is not the Pulitzer Prize 🤪, but there were a lot of entries in the memoir category, and the judges chose Rottenkid for the top honor! Taken together with today's brand new AZ review comparing my writing favorably with—gulp—Elena Ferrante (!), I'm pretty much over the moon right now! Waaaay over. 😮

As my publisher Sibylline Press rockets to the top of the indie publishing world—attention is DEFINITELY being paid!—I am overjoyed to announce the final book of the Spring roster, by my sister author Suzy Vitello (also the author of "Faultland," which I loved too).
I’m highly recommending "Bitterroot: A Novel," by Suzy Vitello. This is a scrumptious read, and I laughed my butt off on too many occasions to count. But I also shook my head in horrified wonder at the scary world the novel inhabits; hint: it's the same world we inhabit now, or at least the societally darker side. Suzy weaves the personal story of a woman coming into her own after the surprise death of her husband as a bigger, and as I said, darker, social picture plays out all around her. It’s magnificent and a page-turner. Believe Rene Denfeld, believe Cheryl Strayed. Believe me.
