Navigating an Italian farmers market as a local is totally an unmissable experience for any travelers
Thursdays is the day of the local farmers market in the Sardinian city of Santa Teresa di Gallura. Fresh vegetables and fruits, a huge variety of Sardinian cheese, local olive oil, nuts, olives, dried fruits and a variety of bread. The local bread is called Pane Carasau and you will find it pretty much everywhere but (save this post for later), the best local bread is called Pane Guttiau, crunchy, salty and baked to perfection.
Flavored with rosemary and sometimes onions, pane Guttiau is something you should know if you come to Sardinia and want to be authentic 💕
