Miss Ultimate USA Photo Challenge Day Five: How do you empower others? If you had told ten year old me what my life looks like today, I would have been convinced that I was being misled. However, that is the exact point I want to make. I want to be able to be a vessel and living testament to the fact that you are not defined by your past and that it is up to you how your future will look like. I especially want to empower domestic violence survivors, like myself, by showing the light that life has to offer; and by supporting organizations like Laura’s Home, Blessing House, and Lorain County Children Services, I am making that goal a reality.

Today I was able to be apart of the Lorain International Festival Parade representing both Miss Ultimate USA and my Scottish heritage! I was able to honor my heritage by wearing the Stafford tartan, as well as wearing both the regional and corresponding rank pins. However, I wanted to make sure that I brought my service platform to the parade route. Therefore, I parented with Lorain County Children Services and we were able to hand out over 400 information cards about becoming a Lorain County Foster Parent. I loved being able to both serve and greet my community today in this unique way!
Miss Ultimate USA Photo Challenge Day Four: Favorite Event of Competition! For me, I cannot choose between interview and evening gown for my favorite event. I love interview because I am able to use my public speaking skills to tell the judges about what I am passionate about. However, evening gown gives me the opportunity to slow down and savor the moment, and truly appreciate all of the hard work that brought me to this moment.

I am so excited for my friend/neighbor Penelope Amaranto Wallace who beautifully and gracefully represented her Filipino heritage at the Lorain International Pageant. She walked away with the crown, and I am so excited to watch her journey this year as the 2024 Lorain International Queen!
I also want to extend a huge thank you to the Lorain International Pageant for inviting me as guest royalty to this amazing pageant!
Miss Ultimate USA Photo Challenge Day Three: Ultimate Service Initiative! My Ultimate Service Initiative, Community Connections, serves the community with the purpose of educating and advocating for the youngest members of the community. There are four mains ways I accomplish this goal, which are all represented in these photos. The first way is by sharing foster care facts and misconceptions by working with Lorain County Children Services to post my weekly Welfare Wednesday education posts. The second way is by hosting and participating in events that serve has fundraisers for child welfare programs, such as modeling in the Blessing House Tea. The third way is by providing tangible support to welfare programs by creating donation drives, such as the Domestic Violence Survivors Care Packages I provided for Valentine’s Day. The fourth way involves serving on the Youth of Lorain County Equity and Equality board which enables me to work with Ohio legislators to help ensure equality in our schools.

If there is anything I have learned from my missionary work it is that a smile is UNIVERSAL. A simple smile can help ease the language and cultural barriers. Today I attended the Northern States send off for Miss Ultimate USA Nationals! I want to say a huge thank you to Ms. Stacey who hosted and organized this entire event, it truly was amazing. I had such a good time catching up with friends, and meeting new ones as we exchanged gifts, practiced for Nationals, and furthered our sisterhood. I cannot wait to see everyone at Nationals and make more memories as I compete for my dream job!

Today I made a trip to Viper Apparel to pick up my final wardrobe piece, my custom Johnathan Kayne runway outfit! Every time I go and visit I have to say hello to Dalia who makes every experience wonderful and so special. She also helped me pick out a little something for the Ultimate Luncheon gift exchange this weekend, and sent me home with some more gifts!

There is officially one month until I will be checking in at the Miss Ultimate USA Nationals! In order to celebrate this, I complied some of my favorite moments from my time as a titleholder. From designing my nationals wardrobe with Viper Apparel and Johnathan Kayne to making local appearances to talk about my service initiative, I love all of the opportunities being a Miss Ultimate USA titleholder has created for me; and I cannot wait to share that with the judges at Nationals!
