Let’s meet Tiffany Brown, CEO of @brownbuildersdesign . This is her story: The journey to launching Brown Builders Design, a residential and commercial interior design firm began as a young girl. I was exposed to different architecture and design as my parents moved around the U.S. buying and selling their homes. From Michigan, to California and Minnesota, just to name a few, I loved touring homes, observing the differences and sketching dream floor plans. While my parents settled into what would be our 7th relocation, I set eyes on Charlotte. I completed my degree in Pre Law but pivoted into a successful career managing mixed use and multi family residential properties. I built the operations and asset management around the consumer. I developed a keen ability of mastering which amenities and finishes made people feel at home. In conjunction, I established a high level of growing revenue and creating value for the real estate properties. Fast forward, I started to feel a strong tug that I had so much untapped potential. I started an event company on the side for a couple of years. I needed a creative outlet but a promotion at work led me away. I was an essential employee so while the rest of the world slowed down during the pandemic, it only intensified for me. In late 2020, a couple (who knew l had a gift in interior design) reached out to me to design their living room. I said YES! As I was designing their space it hit me that this was my purpose. What’s most surprising (to me) is less than a month after completing their space I decided to resign from my career of 12 years and take the leap of faith to start my own business in interior design. Brown Builders Design nurtures the biggest investment most individuals make in their lives which is their home and/or business. High Point Market Spring 2024 consisted of a short visit this season with a drive up on Sunday to attend a few events and source for clients. I was lead on a group hot spot tour with @dressmyroom to visit beautiful artisan showrooms which offered high quality custom designs. I then ventured on my own to some of my favorite showrooms in High Point Market. I was completing swooning over the handmade woodwork, custom closet and textures found all throughout market. The impact of color in design was beautiful and abundant at market but I’m dedicating this post to the sultry essence of neutrals and quiet luxury. When we select paint for our clients, while choosing the paint color is a main component of the space, selecting the best product and finish suited for the space is of the upmost importance. Our commercial project @nikaochurch continues as we renovated SEVEN bathrooms. The number seven has always been a significant number in my life and it means completion. Our client requested a cohesive look throughout the spaces. We kept the overall feel clean, bright and contemporary. Perfect to transition well over time. The custom vanity in the main two bathrooms included a quartz countertop with a mitered 7” eased turn-down. We housed the previously exposed plumbing for a more pleasing aesthetic. Your breakfast nook deserves love too! Welcome to Casa de Rosa Part 3. The final phase of this design project. The breakfast nook is becoming an area more utilized as families are forgoing their formal dining rooms for more creative havens in their home. Our client, loves the simplicity and quietness a home should bring. They relocated from New York and this home is an escape from the overstimulated world. We embraced their request while implementing woven elements for texture and a built in functionality with a wall mounted bar shelf as she likes to unwind from the day. This is a reminder to design with every space in mind. From the entryway, your hallways, bedroom sitting rooms, to your staircase landings. All of the “forgotten spaces” deserve love too. Happy Wednesday One of my very first designs will always be so near and dear to my heart! Our client skipped the discovery call and immediately knew they wanted to move to the consultation. I was filled with excitement but anxious as the same time. From the moment we met our connection was meant to be! We designed two beautiful spaces in their home. Our reveal of their reaction to the primary bedroom shown here went viral. Their reaction was priceless! The love this couple have for each other was so amazing to witness. The husband wrote a love letter to his wife that we placed next to her side of the bed. Tuesday Testimonials Our client project from 2023 included designing a short term rental with a complete white glove turn key experience. The client gave complete trust to us and we were able to complete the project from conception to completion in a short time frame. This included overseeing a series of deferred maintenance items on the home inspection and a few surprises along the way, like a leaking indoor A/C coil which ultimately needed to be replaced. We provided a solution and resolved each one. This mixed use property with condos and retail space was the perfect investment for my client. Our ultimate goal was to create value and ensure anything a potential customer would desire from renting their space would be covered. We are so pleased with our client’s satisfaction.
