Sat down - technically we walked around - with the excellent Eoin Murray for a very in depth discussion about all sorts of things including my preoccupation with death and the thing I think is the secret to good DJing. Eoin managed to catch parts of my life on branches and unravel them kindly. It’s the first in depth thing I’ve done in a very long time so there was some ground to cover and the truth is talking about yrself never seems to get easier so am grateful for the patience as I stumbled around on that front.
Also i owe a debt to the team who worked on the shoot and could make sense of my dopey ideas and indulge my desires to ultimately be a Derek Jarman obsessed mushroom sprouting ruffs here there and everywhere. Thank you.

Arpo One at TWH, two points.
* Transvection – paranormal bodily elevation – is its own inexplicable thing. What was going on? Were the witnesses to the phenomena all liars and fantasists, or hallucinating the same things at the same time? Maybe.
* The stream of music reflected the light of the day and the strobes of the night. It shone, sometimes making a good kind of sense, a logic, and at times it began to take on a messy, unbridled exuberance. It was harder to sense what was next.
Thanks to TWH for letting me do a longer thing and invite some people I love. Abena, Shannen SP, Pearson Sound (who will play with me) during the afternoon and evening. Vlada and myself will play the night into morning. Both you and I know the hotel will serve as a good vase for each of these glorious carnations. Tickets should be up now.

The archive from @deschoolamsterdam is being launched today. It’s obviously an interesting exercise. Divorcing recordings from time and place isn’t usually a good idea in my mind, but by taking almost all of them and not allowing anyone to hear or master them, the recordings move into another place. A place where the grouping and nakedness form something of their own. A club in a virtual box that you kind of climb into… or something. I don’t know. We’ll see. Because of this I said have yes to them having everything there, I felt it was all or nothing, good sets and bad. So here are recordings from 6 years of my playing there. An archive, I think the first of its kind (correct me if I’m wrong please).
Had the best time in Australia last weekend. Dekmantel festival was phenomenal, especially given it was their first attempt down under. Saw an absurd Aussie scene on some car race that was on TV where a pissed off driver tore a chunk off his crashed vehicle and hurled it at another driver. Also learnt that every exit is indeed an entry somewhere new… anyway, huge shouts to Driller and the Sydney crew for a very cute time either side. Can’t wait to be back :)))
