ST LUCIA DODGES WRATH OF HURRICANE BERYL
Two days ago we shared a video of the Calm Before the Hurricane.
Then yesterday Hurricane Beryl tore through the Southern Caribbean as a category 4 system packing wind speeds of 150 mph!
Think of the fasted speed you’ve ever driven and this will give you an idea of the force of the winds.
This video which we shot yesterday shows Hurricane Beryl’s fury even though we were 140 miles north of the center of the system!
And while Saint Lucia was spared, some of the more southerly islands were not so lucky and the impact has been truly devastating.
Despite this. the Southern Caribbean remains the safest place to visit during the rainy season which is also our hurricane season!

CALM BEFORE THE HURRICANE - SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN
Hurricane Beryl, the second named hurricane of this season is barrelling towards the southern Caribbean at this moment
And this is what the calm before the storm looks like!
With maximum winds clocked at 130 mph Beryl is a category 4 hurricane
St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, Grenada and Tobago have been placed on hurricane warning alert
The center of the system is on track to pass over the ocean between St Vincent and Grenada sometime Monday morning
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as a category 4 hurricane is considered catastrophic!
