Today, 4AD is announcing reissues of Cass McCombs’ first three releases – his debut EP Not The Way, and first two albums A and PREfection. All arrive September 6th by 4AD and available to pre order now. This is their first pressing since their original release in the early 2000s. A cassette entitled “2000-2004 Demos, Live & Radio” is also available for pre-order and out September 6th by Orindal.
To support the 4AD reissues, Cass will embark on the “As Paint on Fur Tour” taken from a lyric from the song “So Damn Pure” from his debut EP. The set promises to be “something old, something new”, in the spirit of always being onto the next artistic endeavor.
Old friends and collaborators on these early releases Papercuts and Advance Base are joining for select dates. Tickets are on sale tomorrow July 2nd at 11 AM EST / 8 AM PST.

Cass McCombs has released a never heard before demo of ‘Sacred Heart’ alongside a new video filmed by the renowned skater Jerry Hsu (@internetfamous ). On September 6th, 4AD will be reissuing Cass’s first three releases. Cass will also be putting out a limited cassette “2000-2004 Demos, Live and Radio” that include this demo on Orindal.

Happy Release Day to Mr. Greg and Cass McCombs! The lifelong friends have teamed up for a silly, wiggly-wormy, curious, free-flowing collection of 20 original children's songs, out now on CD, LP, and wherever you stream music. 🌳
Greg Gardner, aka Mr. Greg, wrote these songs for his preschool students and they were arranged by McCombs with Folkways classics by Peggy Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Michael Hurley, and Ella Jenkins in mind.
