We have had many visitors to our gardens as of late. They say that you should plant #lavender for luck by your gates and front entrances. Turns out that lavender does not just smell wonderful. We like to run our hands in the lavender bushes as we walk by and smell the rich, warm floral scent, so relaxing! The first bee we have seen this season. Sometimes people ask why we don’t make beeswax candles and it’s not that we think they are bad. It’s more the fact that bees work so hard. They are responsible for the majority of pollination that occurs, yes other bugs and even small animals pollinate but bees do the heavy lifting. They have a lot on their plate and in our hearts they are already working for humans. We just wouldn’t feel right taking their wax when they already do so much for the world we live in.
