HAPPY BELMONT STAKES DAY! 40 years ago, Claiborne homebred SWALE took the 3rd jewel of the 1984 Triple Crown by four lengths. Swale was later awarded Eclipse Champion Three Year Old honors after a campaign that included wins in the G3 Hutcheson Stakes, G1 Florida Derby, G1 Kentucky Derby, and G1 Belmont Stakes. Swale will forever be remembered as one of the all-time great Thoroughbreds born and raised at Claiborne Farm. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
