The results of being the only two people at the iconic Bamboo Forest in Kyoto at 5am. Breathtaking!!🎋🌳 SAVE this as your next place to visit! VERDICT: Was it worth doing? Yes, only at this time on a weekday. By the time we left around 7am, the tourists started to trickle in quickly. I wouldn’t go back to see it though since there’s so many other beautiful sites to see. It is tourist spot and there’s not much to see with a crowd of people. It’s a short path but when you walk past it and up the hill, you can see the river between the mountains. . . . #kyoto #kyotojapan #kyotojapan🇯🇵 #bambooforest #bambooforestkyoto #kyototrip #kyototravel #bamboo #kyotogram #japan #japantravel

Nothing beats 6am sushi in one of the most famous Fish Wholesale Market and Tuna Auction in Toyosu! 🍣The quality, freshness, and price is hard to beat. We’ve been to a few sushi spots including an omakase in Shibuya, and still, this spot is our #1 . For the life of me, I can’t remember this restaurant’s name and I’ve tried searching EVERYWHERE. It’s the same place we visited last trip to Tokyo. The details that I know is that it’s on the 3F of the Tuna Auction, in the Fish Wholesale building. When you turn right into the entrance, there’s a strip of sushi spots and it’s on the left side. The tuna sushi plate is the most affordable in comparison to the rest (in my opinion), easier to get it, and was 3,200 yen (~$22 USD). I can’t recommend this place enough! SAVE this when you visit next or share with a family/friend. You will not be disappointed! . . . #tokyo #tokyofood #tokyofoodie #tokyotravel #japan #japanfood #sushi #tuna #tunasushi #toyosu #toyosufishmarket #toyosumarket #toyosushi #tunaauction #sushi🍣 #sushitime #foodreview #clarissaskitchen

Finally got around to trying out the 7-Eleven Smoothie in Japan!🇯🇵 🍍🥬🥭 Here’s my thoughts: simple, convenient on-the-go drink, more water based so it’s tastes like blended fruit/veggies (kale, mango, pineapple), tasted more icy vs. milky, ~$2 USD. Worth it? I think so! Definitely want to try other flavors! If you tried this out before, what are your thoughts? Any flavor combos you recommend me to try? . . . #7eleven #7elevenjapan #smoothies #711 #smoothiemaker #smoothietime #smoothielife #tokyo #japan #japantrip #japanfood #convenientfood #asmr #tokyofoodie #tokyofood #healthylifestyle #glutenfree #refreshingdrink #clarissaskitchen

SAVE and follow these TIPS BELOW👇 on making a bouquet of flowers and lasting longer 💐 Steps to Make a Bouquet of Flowers: Gather Your Materials: Collect fresh flowers, greenery, a vase or container, floral foam (optional), floral tape, scissors, and ribbon. Prepare the Flowers: Trim the stems at an angle and remove any leaves that will be submerged in water to prevent bacteria growth. Arrange the Flowers: Start with the largest or focal flowers in the center and work outward, adding smaller flowers and greenery around them. Place taller flowers in the back and shorter ones in the front. Secure the Bouquet: Use floral tape to bind the stems together tightly. You can also use a rubber band or ribbon for a decorative touch. Trim and Adjust: Trim any uneven stems and adjust the arrangement as needed to achieve a balanced look. Place in a Vase: Fill a clean vase with room temperature water and arrange the bouquet, making sure the stems are submerged. Display and Enjoy: Put your bouquet in a cool spot away from direct sunlight and drafts. Tips to Make Flowers Last Longer: Use Clean Water: Change the water every 2-3 days and trim the stems at an angle to keep them hydrated. Remove Foliage: Remove any leaves that will be submerged in water to prevent bacterial growth. Add Flower Food: Use flower food packets or make your own with a mixture of sugar and a few drops of bleach to nourish the flowers and prevent bacteria. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Keep the bouquet away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent wilting. Mist the Flowers: Lightly mist the petals with water to keep them hydrated, especially if the air is dry. Rehydrate Overnight: If flowers start to wilt, submerge the entire bouquet in water overnight to rehydrate them. Prune Regularly: Remove any wilting or dead flowers and trim the stems to prolong the life of the remaining blooms. . . . #bouquet #flowers #flowerstagram #flowerslovers #flowerbouquet #traderjoes #traderjoesflowers #aesthetic #freshflowers #sunflowers #spring #springflowers #floral #tips #clarissaskitchen

Got a bunch of avocados? Be sure to do THIS 🥑 I find avocados to be pricey and quick to ripen. I think getting the most bang for your buck is at Trader Joe’s, but you let me know where you think getting avocados for the best deal is. We visited our old house and there were SO many avocados from the tree we planted a few years ago! I ended up harvesting them all and did not want them to go to waste. I like to cut up the avocados into portion sizes, then freeze them in freezer bags with labels of the date. When I’m ready to make a smoothie, ice cream or healthy brownies, I take as much as I need. Hope you enjoy this tip! . . . #avocados #avocado #frozenavocado #avocadolover #avocadorecipes #avocado🥑 #tip #cookingtips #tipandtricks #smoothies #howto #smoothietime #freezerfriendly #freezermeals #clarissaskitchen

KOREAN STYLE PICKLED JALAPEÑOS & SHISHITO PEPPERS 🌶️ These easy Korean Inspired pickled jalapeno peppers are made simply with soy sauce, garlic, and rice vinegar. The perfect condiment for just about anything and takes about 20 min to make. I used jalapeños and shishito peppers I grew from my mini garden, and let me just say remove the seeds from the jalapeños if you want it less spicy. The ones I grew were spicy! 🥵made gluten-free and vegan 😊 8-10 jalapeños (for less spicy, remove seeds), sliced into rings 8-10 shishito peppers, sliced into rings 1/2 medium white, yellow or sweet onion, chopped in bite size pieces 1 cup gf soy sauce or tamari 1 cup rice vinegar 1 cup water 1/2 cup sweetener (maple syrup, honey, allulose) 1 dried kombu 4-6 garlic cloves, sliced longways
In a small pot, bring the soy sauce, vinegar, water, sweetener and kombu to a gentle boil, then remove from heat. Add the jalapeños, shishito peppers, onion and garlic in a glass container or mason jar. Pour very warm liquid over the jalapeños, tightly seal and immediately refrigerate for 1 days up to 2 weeks. . . . #pickledjalapenos #koreanrecipes #pickled #pickledonions #pickledveggies #asianfood #foodie #easyrecipes #healthyrecipes #glutenfree #jalapenos #shishitopeppers #condiments #clarissaskitchen

3-ingredient PICKLED ONIONS 🧅 a staple item I usually have in the fridge at all times, as you should too because it’s so easy! It’s not the first that I’ve shared this recipe. It’s just equal parts water, vinegar and half the amount of sweetener. I love when the red onions turn that pretty pink color and also tastes delicious. Store up to 2 weeks in the fridge. 1 large red onion, peeled and thinly sliced 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar (or any type of vinegar) 1/2 cup water 1 tbsp salt 1/4 cup sweetener (ie. maple syrup, honey, sugar, allulose, etc.) - I tend to use maple syrup In a small pot, add vinegar, water, salt, and sweetener, then bring to a simmer until it dissolves. Add thinly sliced red onions to a mason jar and make sure it’s packed tight. Pour liquid over onions carefully until it’s fully submerged. Seal tight and fridge up to two weeks. The red onion should turn softer and pink. WHEN TO USE: Tacos Quesadillas Any breakfast foods sandwiches Wraps Meats Side dishes Salads . . . #pickledonions #pickled #pickledonion #pickledredonions #redonion #onion #pickledveggies #easyrecipes #simplerecipes #healthyrecipes #healthyrecipeshare #glutenfree #guthealing #cooking #clarissaskitchen
