Seeking attention, he dabbled in various activities from sports to plays, clubs, and even some less conventional pursuits. After college, DJ found himself drawn to the vibrant energy of New York City, where he embraced the hustle and bustle with open arms. Despite the stark contrast to his small-town upbringing, DJ found humor in the irony of it all, realizing that life’s twists and turns could be the ultimate punchline. While harboring aspirations of furthering his education, DJ discovered a knack for comedy during his time in the Big Apple. Soon, he was making audiences laugh across the country, gracing renowned venues like Caroline’s on Broadway and Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. Coffee, Comedy and Music returns this Sunday at 3pm to @playgroundindy and we couldn’t be more excited! But let’s meet your emcee for the evening, @divinetimingcomedy (aka Chelsea Snedden). Chelsea Snedden is a comedian from Indianapolis, Indiana. Her comedy journey began as a satire writer in 2015 for the Hoosier Flipside Newspaper in Bloomington, Indiana. From there, she discovered a love of irony, a disdain for normalcy, and a passion for comforting the disturbed and disturbing the comfortable. She has been sharing her rampant silliness as a stand-up comedian for two years. She came in 3rd place at The Lab Competition in February 2023 and 1st place at the HappyToDoIt Competition in January 2024. She has featured at the Brick Room, Chicken and Chuckles, and The Underground Laugh Lounge. Her greatest comedy influences are SNL, Mitch Hedberg, and Bob Saget. With a passion for unexpected punchlines and a knack for showrunning, she is a rising creative in her field and always hopes to build bigger tables in her scene.
