I’m so beyond grateful for the opportunities I have had in this industry. 20 years ago I could not possibly have dreamt of having over 100 magazine covers with beautiful clients gracing them internationally.
I gladly sacrificed a lot personally and never said no to work. I used to dream of having my work in a local news paper- just wanted a shot to feel like “i made it”. Hard work paid off. I get to see my beautiful clients all around the world on covers, billboards, tv and film and much more. I feel blessed to have had the opportunities that I have had on this journey.
The 13 year old immigrant boy in me locking himself up in the bathroom behind his parents’ back- bleaching his hair with a Féria box color to try and look like the natural blonde, blue eyed kids in American school… he could never imagine he would one day make a career out of it.
I loved art so much -it’s all I had going for me… I got fascinated with the idea of chemicals being able to change hair color and create a feeling. I wanted to fit in so bad at school. I never felt enough. I still don’t feel I’m enough. The love of arts and hair color paired with that feeling is the fire that gave me the will to work really hard to make it. To be recognized for something.
I achieved my goals professionally. Humbled, grateful, and blessed that I was given the shot and opportunities over the years. I’m still searching for that feeling of being enough… I think people who have big dreams could possibly agree. Still trying to find that balance between work and life … but I wouldn’t change a thing about my journey thus far - I’ve learned so much through the years and still learning. Finding ways to be innovative and looking ahead for what’s next. The love and passion for what I do keeps me going, despite the hard days where I can feel so lonely.
I’m so beyond grateful to my clients for supporting me over the years. Every single person in my chair who has trusted me with their hair and let me do what I love for a career. Thank you to all the clients who have given me an international public platform to show my work and make my wildest dreams come true. I ❤️ you all
What a pleasure to be tapped in to assist @joyjah on her hair journey. Naturally, I had to reach for @cecred ‘s entire Foundation Collection! To transition her from bleached hair and dark roots, I added highlights and lowlights for balance. After coloring, I hydrated her dry ends with Cécred’s Hydrating Shampoo, and then fortified and strengthened her hair with my go-to Reconstructing Treatment Mask. This. mask. is. IT! Look at that shine ✨🤩

Blondes have more fun with CÉCRED 😏 While I’m obsessed with the entire Foundation Collection, I’ve been running through bottles of the Reconstructing Treatment Mask the most!
I’ve been using it during the coloring process, especially after highlights , to instantly replenish lost protein in my clients’ hair. This is a crucial step because bleached hair is extremely fragile and the mask strengthens it right when it needs it most.
The results are undeniable: incredible shine (even after just one use!), and minimal shedding. Science backs it up too – clinically tested to repair damage and reduce breakage by 2x. Thank me later!
