Complexions Contemporary Ballet Academy is excited to announce our first Open Class Series in August 2024! For two weeks, Intermediate to Advanced/Pre-Professional dancers 16 years and over have the opportunity to learn dive into the world of Complexions and ‘Nique! All classes are taught by Nique Certified Complexions Company Artists and Desmond Richardson. We can’t wait to dance with you all in August!

Complexions Contemporary Ballet seeks passionate dance artists that are unique individuals with a point of view and clear sense of self for its 2024-25 Season.

Complexions is proud to be a company that celebrates diversity & inclusion. Over our 30 year history, Complexions has employed a wide range of artists with varying backgrounds, ethnicities, and gender identities.

Current positions are open for male identifying artists or dancers with partnering experience.
•
Candidates should have a strong Classical and Contemporary Ballet foundation, solid pointe work for all dancers that work on pointe, partnering experience, and the versatility to tackle a variety of movement styles. Applicants must be 18 or over, fully vaccinated, have a valid passport, and can legally work in the United States.

As Black History Month comes to a close, we want to recognize our current Super Athletes that continue the legacy of Black Dancers in Complexions.

April Watson, Kobe Atwood Courtney, Christian Burse, and Joe González have been are all Legendary Artists that have been paving a way for themselves as Black Artists and we are honored they are a part of the Complexions mission to have dancers from all walks of life and backgrounds sharing the stage. Thank you to all of these stunning artist for their continued contribution to the world of dance.

And we can’t forget the legacy of Desmond Richardson and Dwight Rhoden, not only as dancers, but as a constant presence in the Ballet World in choreography and arts education. They consistently have been looking for ways to include Artists from all backgrounds since the inception of Complexions back in 1994.
