I am proud, nervous, and excited to welcome you to my directorial debut: First Impressions. Introducing a part of my art that has been playing in the back of my mind since I can remember and now it finally has a moment to come to life. I have always felt incredibly blessed to be able to create with so many talented artists who hold so much soul, heart, and life; it’s important for me to share their impression stamped upon me, with you. I started with still images because it was natural for me to capture a specific, intimate moment that I could keep forever, like a fadeless memory. However, I believe, as an artist, it is crucial that we push ourselves further and further, to ensure that we always break our own boundaries and discover more about ourselves. First Impressions is a space where you can feel safe and connect, relate and overcome, through art. The stories shared are deeply personal and honest; it is a piece that I hope reminds you that we are all humans trying our best to survive, learn, and come out stronger.
