I love the name of this town Goodland. It’s at the western end of Kansas of rout 70 west. This town could be used in the show Outer Range, just small downtown surrounded by a landscape of fields and grain elevators. The town has lots of corky eclectic things to see like a wooden Statue of Liberty in someone’s front yard and the main feature of the town is a giant Van Gogh painting on a giant easel. But one of the coolest things is all of these classic cars. There are just lots full of them. If I was a wealthy person, I might grab a couple of these and have a car builder rebuild them so that they drive like a smooth, modern car, but have that beautiful old look. #oldcars#classiccars#antiquecars#goodlandkansas#kansas#vangogh#skoolielife#buslifeadventure
We actually had a very smooth very easy experience getting insurance for the bus. Tyler from State Farm in Idaho Falls was a pleasure to work with and the price was great for it not being registered as an RV yet. As is standard we had to get rid of anything that was associated with it’s past life or anything that would mislead someone into thinking we were a school bus. 2007 BlueBird Handsy Bus, soon to be our home. This time the bus will get finished, I learned my lesson when I sold my last bus to keep the RV. In hindsight I would sell the RV and use the money from that to finish the bus. That bus could have been great but with time and experience this bus has the potential to become more than the plans I had for that one. 😋 follow us and let’s see what happens, heck if you support one or all of our businesses that just gets us there even faster. I spent the night at a repair garage. If you full-time RV long enough, I suppose it’s bound to happen. I couldn’t have gotten more lucky than to have come across Steve Carter of Carter’s towing & repair. Within five seconds his personality put me at ease. You can just tell he is a good person and a competent person. The mechanical problems I have are not new; I had broken down once before due to the fuel pump. The fuel tank posted too many problems for the last people who attempted to fix this, so they spliced into the fuel line and added an external fuel pump. That lasted about a year up until yesterday, so here I am having it done right and hopefully for the last time. If you ever have any problems near Fayetteville North Carolina recommend you call Mr. Carter.
Solar is so effective that you really don’t need to spend as much as you would think. The main thing I would stress is that you don’t get a larger inverter than you need.
