Day 2: What a lovely day. @tommorello was on great form. Had a good chat about fatherhood on the day before Fathers Day. Seeing him side of the stage, rocking out to I’m Broken as @panteraofficial ripped it up was cool too… Cheers @downloadfest #cochise #imbroken #riffcousins

Got to see one of my all time favourites today… An absolute banger from Pablo. He made nearly 60 paintings whilst studying the original ‘Las Meninas’. Also included a pic of the original by Velasquez and the later interpretation by Witkin…

Portrait of Annie Clark of @st_vincent for the cover of the latest episode of Someone Who Isn’t Me @swimpodcast which is online now on all pod platforms. We talk about the brilliant album ‘All Born Screaming’ and it shoots off on a few tangents which is kind of the best way for a conversation to happen… ‘Annie’ Oil, Acrylic and Ink on paper Approx A3

It was an honour to be host for the world premiere of the new @thebandghost film ‘Rite Here, Rite Now’ at Picturehouse Central in London. The film releases worldwide June 20th and is quite frankly, the best concert film since that one from Long Beach Arena in 1985… It’s more than a concert film though, shot over a couple of nights at the Forum in LA, with some very moving and very funny scenes. Bravo to all involved. Photos by the wonderfully talented @del_photos #ritehereritenow #thebandghost #ghosthostwiththemost

Fantastic evening at the private view of ‘Entheon: A Sanctuary of Visionary Art’ at @lllusionaries in Canary Wharf. A pretty mind blowing exhibition / installation featuring the artwork of @alexgreycosm and @allysongreycosm in collaboration with @chapelofsacredmirrors . I’ve been a fan of Alex’ work since I first saw it via @toolmusic album art and then once I looked into his work, then discovered and loved Allyson’s too. Getting to chat with them about the importance of art, creativity and how at some point, maybe I’ll be able to break out of making monochromatic paintings was inspiring stuff. Being immersed in their work in the way that it’s presented here is a super psychedelic experience and hearing them talk about the event that brought about the drive to create CoSM / Entheon makes it all make sense… It definitely made me want to sit and talk with them for an episode of @swimpodcast at some point in the future… We’ll see. Thank you @torment24 for the invitation, for both of them for signing my book and to the team at Illusionaries for housing such a rad experience. Check out their page for tickets…

I think ‘Three Days’ by @janesaddiction is one of the greatest pieces of rock music ever recorded and is one of the reasons why their album ‘Ritual De Lo Habitual’ is one of my all time favourite records. When I heard it as a kid it was life changing… Seeing the band tonight play a warm up show at a small London venue and bang out the classics along with two new songs was pretty special. Hearing them play ‘Three Days’ was mindblowing. I can’t wait for the two shows in Camden next week…
