Posting headshots right smack dab in the middle of my busiest season 🤷🏼♀️
Lots of new faces during this time so here’s a little about me.
- Always have to start off with my name pronunciation. Darah. Like Sara with a D.
-I’m from Arizona, born and raised.
-This March my husband and I will celebrate 8 years married and 16 year together. He’s my guy. If you’ve met him you also now love him😂 he’s just that kind of guy.
- I have two rad little chicks. I love being their mom.
- I will take any excuse to talk about my sister. She’s like a much cooler calmer version of me.
- I love all things true crime and can get DOWN on a horror flick. Name it, I’ve seen it.
- cookies are my weakness. Iced coffee too.
- I would eat out at a restaurant 7 days a week. Three times a day if I could 😅

When I started this post, I was making it “tips to take portraits for kids” ..Then I got in my feelings because these little girls were so much smaller last year. My oldest will start kindergarten next year. My tiny chunky newborn is no longer a tiny chunky baby.
I do these portraits every year for my girls and they are my absolute favorite! Changing out last years to this years portraits and seeing how much they’ve grown in just one year is heartbreaking yet brings me so much joy.
We get to fall in love with so many versions of our children. One day you have this tiny baby who has the sweetest “coos” and you love every little chunk, then one day that chunky baby is gone and in their place is a toddler with the greatest laugh you’ve ever heard. You blink and that toddler is now a KID with a long list of questions that make you laugh and remind you of the pureness thats still in this world. A kid That comes with a missing front tooth and a scar on their knee from just living life. Then it happens again.. that kid is now a pre teen. One you’re constantly worried for but you’ve gained a new best friend. One you admire their effortless coolness and hope stays your buddy. A pre teen who is a daily reminder you made it through every hard day in motherhood/fatherhood.
My point being, babies don’t keep. The best way to remember every moment and every version of your child is through photography ❤️

my baby has a procedure in the morning so responses will be slow this weekend. If we have a session booked we will definitely still be in communication. But for setting up sessions those will be returned Tuesday❤️
