Universal’s massive musical tentpole bet #Wicked was originally dated to go head-to-head with Disney Animation’s five-quad movie ‘Moana 2’ on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the day before Thanksgiving, but will now go five days earlier on Friday, Nov. 22.

Only 11 animated films have ever crossed the $1B threshold, and of those, Disney and Pixar combined now have eight.

Steve McQueen will debut his latest feature 'Blitz', an exploration of London during World War 2, on opening night at this year’s London Film Festival. The pic will screen as a world premiere.

The sequel got there in just 16 days of release and already is the No. 19 animated film ever worldwide.
