Oooh it’s here! My early morning broadcast hustle week called @kutx Live at Scholz Garten. Although not quite as early as previous years, this year we start at 8a! Which means I don’t have to be there until 6a and can get up at 5a! For some reason, 5am sounds so much easier than getting up at 4am.
Anyhoo, back to the important stuff:

I have learned so much working with him in studio 1A. This man has interviewed so many icons in his long career and yet no artist I book is too small to get his full attention on interview prep. (A producer’s dream!!)
And @confuciusjones and @freshxknight finally got their crown after 7 nominations! Each year they up their game and it’s cool to watch.
The last one gives me pause…it’s not all that creative to put a band in a music venue and broadcast and live stream it. Was it an amazing and super special show? Hell yeah! Was it a whole lot of coordination and brain melt? It was and totally worth it! My job is cool y’all.
To my true love on this special day….we had a rough year. You know what they say about too much of a good thing. Your love was a drug and it became toxic. So we took some time off. We went to therapy, made some changes, even lost some weight! Now, we have established healthy boundaries and we’re happier and stronger than ever. I love you bean and cheese, I can’t quit you. 🌮🥰❤️🌮
I started singing in church choir around age 7 and kept at it all the way through college. I owe my excellent ear and ability to sing any harmony to choir (mmm and I guess all those piano lessons).
It’s been over two decades since I sang in a choir so I jumped at the chance to sing in @unwoundsound for Indie Orchestra. I mean, I’ve always wanted to be a backup singer and now I get to sing harmonies with some of my favorite Austin artists: @saypromqueen@agiantdog@fearsontheinternet@calebdecasper . And there’s an orchestra!

Spoke to @kvrxaustin about booking and my 20+ years of experience in radio and the music industry. So wild to see a room full of young people that are into radio! The youths are cool af and make me excited for the future.
