Happy Pride Month! I’m thrilled to introduce Prashain, a remarkable Technical Expert who has made a significant impact as a team member at Apple Orchard Road in Singapore for the past five years. Prashain shares their thoughts on Pride Month and reflects on their journey at Apple.
“For me, Pride Month is a space for visibility, conversations, and education. All throughout the year, Apple Retail allows me to express myself freely through my fashion and other forms of self-expression, such as my makeup or Memoji lanyard with my preferred pronouns. As a technical expert, I engage with customers at the Genius Bar to help them repair their relationship with their devices. One day at work, a customer noticed my Memoji lanyard and preferred pronouns and said how much they loved that Apple is a space where we’re celebrated for who we are. I think this also makes customers and people from the community feel comfortable, safe, and validated when they’re at Apple stores too. It’s so lovely to be in a space where I’m celebrated for who I am and what I stand for—and can bring my queerness to life.”
Apple The Exchange TRX, our first retail location in Malaysia, is now open! We all loved welcoming the community to our new home this morning. In honor of Juneteenth, Dahl shares how he found connection and community at Apple and what that experience means to him.
“Juneteenth is a great day to raise awareness, educate others about its origin, engage in conversation, and reflect on the trials and tribulations that Black people endured over time and still endure today. With Juneteenth, I believe that there’s always work that has to be done, and there are no shortcuts along the way. That’s one of the reasons I joined Black@Apple –to connect with a community of people who look like me and to understand vulnerable perspectives. From the amazing customers I’ve connected with, to the perspectives I’ve gained from team members, I’ve learned so much about myself while being here. At Apple, I’ve found a community that I recognize as family.”
The talented @nrg.visuals delivered an incredible Today at Apple session at Apple Aventura. During the session, she shared her creative process, how she uses iPhone 15 Pro Max to story tell, and led customers on a photo walk around Aventura taking portraits along the way.
