“The Golem and Other Tales” is OUT!!!
Music tells stories, and that is what we have endeavored to explore with this new record. Side A features five compositions drawing on jazz, folk, fugue, and more. Side B features “The Golem,” a through-composed tone poem telling the story of a clay man brought to life.
Stream and download in all the normal places. Vinyl and CD is available for purchase online and in record stores worldwide.
You can also “experience” the golem suite in its entirety while following along with the story on a specially-designed web app.

If you are preggers and don’t have this support system, reach out! I am guessing it is somewhere closer than you may now know… Your local yoga community or doula community, a neighbor or friend of a friend…
Grateful that this web of support is appearing for Dom and I and to all of the mysteries of birth and motherhood that are still yet unknown.

The Human Hands are putting out a new record and the first single is out NOW!! Stream “Ancient Technology” and pre-order “The Golem and Other Tales” today via link in bio.
Due for release on June 21st, the album features a through-composed suite of music based on the Jewish legend of a clay man brought to life—alongside five other short compositions. “Ancient Technology” is one of the latter.
Hard to believe it’s been six years since the Human Hands released “Too Hot To Sleep.” Since then, it’s been exciting to watch as everyone’s path has taken them in amazing directions. To be able to gather (and expand) this incredible musical family for a new recording was a total thrill and an honor: Alex Hargreaves (violin), Eddie Barbash (saxophone), Duncan Wickel (violin, cello, and bouzouki), Dominick Leslie (mandolin), Roy Williams (guitar), and Andrew Ryan (bass). Jon Seale and Jacob Blumberg recorded and co-produced this project with me at Mason Jar Music in Brooklyn.
“The Golem and Other Tales” will be available on compact disc and a deluxe vinyl package featuring original artwork by Brooklyn-based artist Andrew Benincasa.

We couldn’t be more excited for the week of music ahead! We’ve got a special cast of characters assembled to bring some timeless acoustic music to Virginia and North Carolina. In the center of the action this week will be our dear old friends, mandolin wizard Dominick Leslie / @domles , and the inimitable @phoebehuntmusic - two of the sweetest sweethearts in the entire scene! The squad will be rounded out with the always incredible @chrishollywoodenglish on percussion and maestro @maxflansburg on guitar.
SGP kicks things off @elevation27vb in VA Beach on Wednesday night, and then we’ll be bringing the party to @shakorihillsgrassroots for a set on the Meadow Stage Friday evening at 7pm, where we’ll be joined by our brother @ricrobertsonmusic for a joyful reunion. On Saturday we’ll be rolling on to the @harvester_music in Rocky Mount (Roanoke), VA for a show deep in the heart of fiddle tune territory!
