What goes up, must come down! Finally have all my posters down according to my map. A few missing posters, so if you do spot them floating around or suddenly on a pole somewhere please give me a shout I’ll go and pick them up. The deadline to have all posters down is tomorrow, Friday the 14th of June, or else hefty fines apply. Thank you so much for all you love and support during my campaign. It was a throughly enjoyable experience, I would do it again in a heartbeat! Full circle ⭕️ 💜

Why I’m asking for your number 1 Vote I’ve experienced the warmth and support of the community in Limerick City East and feel eager to give back. As a mother to four children, I understand the struggle to find affordable housing and childcare. I am dedicated to community safety, working as the Victims of Crime Coordinator at Doras. I am passionate about our community and believe Council could be doing much more. I would love the opportunity to represent you on Limerick City and County Council. If elected, I pledge to: * Fight for recognition of population growth in community planning from childcare to public transport * Push for more facilities and services such as libraries, community centres and a new Garda station * Prioritise the delivery of social and affordable homes * Encourage sustainable development by tackling vacancy and dereliction * Prioritise efficient and affordable public transport On 7 June, Vote No.1 Donnah Vuma #votepurple2024 #SocDems #LE24

Couldn’t be more proud and humbled to have contributed a small part to this immensely powerful project. #repost @actionaidireland ‘Together, we are stronger’ celebrates the migrants who come to Ireland to seek safety, security and a happy future for themselves and their families. Together, they make Ireland a better place. This video was inspired by the Department of Foreign Affairs video for St Patrick’s Day celebrating Ireland’s diaspora around the world. The featured song ‘Danny Boy’ was performed by @toshin_music , @jesskavmusic and @roisinelcherif and was recorded by Will Farrell at Blast Audio, Dublin.  The video was shot at @Russborough House & Park, Blessington, Co. Wicklow.  With sincere thanks to all those who shared their stories with us and to creative agency @thinkhouse for working with us on this project.  Also, we want to thank St. Stephens Green Trust and the Energy for Generations Fund who supported the making of this video. Follow the link in our bio to find out more.   Please share this video. #DontLetHateWin   ActionAid Ireland works with women seeking asylum in Ireland, supporting them to claim their human rights and overcome marginalisation and poverty. They have reported increased racism and discrimination.

When the opportunity to serve my community, which has been most emphatic kind caring and generous, came knocking at my door in the form of contesting in the local elections to be the representative in council, I decided to grab it with both hands. I know from many conversations I’ve had at the doors that we all want to see a new and different way of doing politics. If elected, I will serve with integrity, honesty and transparency. I am counting on your number 1 vote on the 7th of June. I look forward to talking to more of you over the next few days leading up to elections, please do get in touch if you have any pressing issues. **Article pictured was featured in the Irish Daily Mail Special Pull Out today. Many thanks to Aisling Moloney for the feature.

I am very honored to be one of the 14 recipients of an award under the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent, presented by the Dublin South City Partnership. This recognition, celebrating my contributions to politics in Ireland, is a humbling acknowledgment of the work we do to enhance our communities. Proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2013, the period between 2015 and 2024 is dedicated to celebrating the achievements and contributions of people of African descent worldwide. I am incredibly proud of the immense talent and impactful contributions being made by people of African descent in Ireland. Thank you to everyone who supports and inspires this important work. Together, we continue to make a difference. One of my priority areas is the lack of community facilities across all of City East. The lack of childcare places is deeply concerning to many families. The most blatant example is in the Bloomfield estate in Newtown where the only undeveloped piece of land remaining was set aside for a creche. The area needs councillors who will hold developers accountable to provide services that were promised and that residents desperately want and need. Last year a planning application for four houses was submitted for this piece of land. If elected I’ll work to ensure that the council and mayor have the powers and will to make developers deliver the facilities they promise. #LE24 #socdems #communiy #childcare #limerickcityeast

In honour of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, I signed the Belong To’s pledge to use factual and accurate information during my election campaign. “Research released by Trinity College Dublin this April shows the devastating impact of online hate, misrepresentation and discrimination, with LGBTQ+ young people experiencing 3 times the level of anxiety and depression and 5 times the level of suicide attempts compared to the general youth population.” I signed this pledge to show that I support the rights of LGBTQ+ people and marginalised communities whose safety is at threat due to misinformation and fake news. #checkthefacts
