Former music executive Robert Cummins has transitioned into a successful restaurateur, expanding his eateries across New York City and planning further growth in Dubai, London, and Miami.
Beginning with four IHOP locations in 2007, Cummins and his partners transformed their vision into Brooklyn Chop House, a high-end restaurant blending Chinese and American cuisine.
The restaurant, located on in Brooklyn, NY, since 2018, has become a celebrity hotspot with its mouthwatering menu featuring filet mignon, Peking duck, satay, dumplings, and more.

Savvy’s surprise College Reveal…We decorated her room with all of the college gear and accessories so she can take then with her to her dorm room. Her friends and school mates surprised her…They hid in her room…..She had no idea…. I think….Congrats Savvy and the winner is……We are so proud of you! Your journey continues …..legacy!

It’s been a long journey from my elementary school Prince of Peace in Brooklyn, NY…… I remember my younger brother and I getting on and off that yellow school bus every day with our school uniform on and about 8 big ass text books in my nap sack. The text books were so big and heavy that sometimes the straps would break off. Lol. …Still reflecting on last weekend …. receiving a Doctorate for my life’s entrepreneurial work in building several businesses in my community and creating opportunities for others. GOD is the absolute greatest!!!! I’m overwhelmingly humbled by today’s Doctoral commencement ceremony!!!!! We have now officially retired the DON in Don Pooh and we replace it with a D , with an R , and with a period ……..now known as Dr. Cummins !!!! Brooklyn !!!! We did it! In my Biggie voice!!! The work continues, we have only just begun!!! Thank you so much to the university for this recognition and I’m blessed to receive this honorary Doctorate degree in Creative Enterprises for my entrepreneurial work in creating opportunities for my community and I promise to continue to pay it forward !!!!
Not only did I receive a Doctorate today , I was blessed to receive the Presidential LIFETIME award from the White House and the POTUS Joe Biden ….as well as receiving the distinguished university alumni award Beyond blessed!
Many more family, faculty ,friends and class of 2024 moments to share coming up. It takes a support team to make the dream work. And I couldn’t make any of this happen without them
