The avid learner whose intellect and hunger for knowledge created the path from Acheber to around the world.
The mathematician whose work single-handedly tripled Ethiopian Airlines revenue in 19something (he would remember the year and exact dollar amount hahaha)
The lover of numbers who, at any moment, would teach and test his grandchildren on multiplication.
The buna fanatic who needed his coffee daily, black and in a sini.
The multi-language speaker who replied in different tongue, followed by the pop quick, “what’s the capital of __________?”
The conversationalist who entertained my random questions about God, life, name meanings and more just to ask for more questions.
The father who made a way for all of his children to safely relocate to Inglewood, CA with the help and support of his wife, Teshomech.
The natural teacher whose written answer to “what was needed to make it through your life” is permanently tattooed on me.
The singer of songs that will forever be remembered in the key of you.
Thankful for all that is my grandpa. 🤍🕊️
A new year; the best reminder that as quick as a year feels, the memories are forever stained on the heart.
2022; a deeply personal year.
A lot of internal work.
A lot of ideas.
A lot of building, then destroying just to rebuild again… & again.
A lot of clarity.
A lot of new territory.
A lot of pushing through.
A lot of adjusting.
A little less crying than 2021 (lmao).
A lot of pure, infectious joy.
A lot of unconditional love.
A lot of fun.
A lot of friends that are family.
A lot of new.
A lot of freedom.
A lot of truth.
Not a lot of social media.
A lot of teamwork.
A lot of standing up for what’s right.
A lot of supporting and being supported.
A lot risk taking.
A lot more to come…
