She came together in bits and pieces, over a long while, some songs written alone, in a wooden room, on the road, driving through remote corners of the country, always in strange and beautiful places. And then, of course, many songs came about together, in community, in friendship, at the very last minute.
We say that this record is about the distance between grief and possibility, but it’s also about allowing yourself to feel joy, seeking to align your heart with love. It’s a commentary on the culture, it’s a call for collective liberation.
We are just so glad that what we have written and recorded is here for you, today, right now.
