Ok…my last regional comp post! The 5th and last regional competition for SDC was LEAP! It was an amazing weekend and so much fun! I was completely inspired by all the talented people there! My solos both received 5 Star adjudications My Lyrical solo “I will Always Love You” was Champion of the category and placed 1st Overall, with an Outstanding Technique award and Spotlight Elite Dancer invitation. This was my first time competing at LEAP! and they have a Leaping competition. I decided to try it. I made it into the top 3! I was totally shocked! I can’t believe Nationals is just a few weeks away! Thank you @leapcompetition for an amazing weekend! 💜 Miss Sam @samit1019 thank you for all you do to make everything work! Regional comp. #4 was Platinum! It was a couple weekends ago. What a great weekend! The talent was insane!! Results: My Lyrical solo scored a Platinum Plus, 2nd overall, Champion of the category and Artist of the Year Nomination My Open solo scored a Platinum Plus, and Champion of the category I was a winner in the Teen Improv. Competition Teen Elite duo with Clarysa : Platinum Plus, Champion of the category and 1st overall. Senior Trio with AbbeyRose and Gaby : Platinum Plus, Champion of the category and 2nd overall. The 9 other dances I am competing in this season : Teen elite open small group: Platinum Plus, Judges award, 3rd overall , Choreography Award Senior Elite Small group Jazz: Platinum Plus, Champion of the Category, 2nd overall, Choreography Award Senior Elite Small group Lyrical: Platinum Plus, Champion of the Category, 3rd Overall Teen Elite Large group Lyrical: Platinum Plus, 2nd Overall Teen Elite Line Lyrical: Platinum Plus, 3rd Overall Teen Elite Line Open: Platinum Plus, 4th Overall Senior Elite Large Group Open: Platinum Plus, 2nd Overall Senior Elite Hip Hop Line: Platinum Plus, 1st Overall Jr. Elite Line Production: Platinum Plus, 1st Overall And Finally, Our Studio won the Studio of Excellence Award! Our 3rd Regional comp, Rainbow, was almost 2 weeks ago. It was so much fun and there was so much talent! It was really inspiring❤️ This post is just a couple of slide shows of stage pics and short videos for me to remember from the weekend. My solos both received double platinum and my Lyrical solo placed first overall. I was so honored to be chosen as Teen Dancer of the Year. SDC’s second regional comp. was Power of Dance , where we compete to earn money for a charity our studio has chosen. I have been competing at Power of Dance since my very first season when I was 7! I’m not very good at remembering placements after awhile so I try to keep track of them here… My Lyrical solo placed 1st overall with a Blue Diamond adjudication and a technique award. My Open solo placed 3rd overall with a Blue Diamond adjudication and I was so honored to receive the Title of Miss Teen Power of Dance. I was also so grateful to have been a Soar Scholarship recipient and also to have been chosen to be a Power Dancer. Besides my solos, I have 11 other dances so I dont always keep good track of their results here but I love them all and they did awesome…both in adjudications and overalls. Thank you to our Coach Miss Sam @samit1019 for everything she does for us. She handles the whole big team by herself, which is not easy! Our first regional comp. for SDC was Energy and it was amazing!! Our whole big team did so good! Both of my solos , Open and Lyrical, received Kinetic Platinum adjudications, first in their categories , my Lyrical solo placed first and I won the Miss Teen Energy title with my Open Solo. It took awhile for it all to sink in! Teen duo with @clarysagomez_ won first place with a Platinum.❤️ Senior trio with @abbeyrosebermejo and @gaby.kajmakoski placed first with a kinetic Platinum.❤️❤️ I was honored to be able to dance in 9 other dances….small groups, large groups, lines and a production. They all did really well, receiving many awards , placements and high adjudications. I had so many pics but i had to pick just a few. Thank you @energyndc for a wonderful weekend of competition with so many amazing studios and talented dancers! Thank you to my SDC family..I love you 💚🖤all! Competition season for SDC is just a couple weeks away! 💚🖤 I’m so excited to be back on stage with everybody!! This post has both good and not as good moments from my new solos for this season. This kind of shows the way the dances will improve and transform throughout the season. At the end is something I have been working on. We have all been working hard to get ready for the season…especially Miss Sam who works long hours doing our choreography and cleaning all the dances. Platinum Dance Collective, Chicago Pt. 2 We competed our solos after classes on Saturday! I am always inspired by all the talented people! Both of my solos received Platinum Plus adjudications . My higher scoring solo was my open solo, which received third place! I was an improv winner and was an Artist of the Year Nominee. I was able to compete in the solo battle on Sunday. At the final awards ceremony I was awarded a full scholarship to Oklahoma City University’s Ann Lacey School of American Dance to take a dance workshop for high school students! Thank you so much @danceplatinumco for everything! I love the Platinum family so much and cannot wait to see you at regionals!! Last weekend was the Refresh Dance Convention in Fort Wayne. 🔺 This post is my recap of the weekend.
