Our Annual Student Workshop Performance features a new addition to the repertoire of Eglevsky Ballet. This ballet adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairytale, “Hansel & Gretel” is directed and choreographed by Maurice Brandon Curry and features over fifty lower school students. “The dancers are buzzing with excitement because they are so thrilled to be a part of another storybook ballet.” Two of our faculty members are appearing in character roles in the ballet as well. Shana McLaughlin will portray “The Stepmother” of our leads and Abby Concannon will perform as “The Witch.” You will not want to miss this fairytale brought to life. See you April 11th at 6:30 PM at the Madison Theatre at Molloy University.
What better way to celebrate another year of exceptional arts programming and world class ballet training with a performance by our students, company, and guest artists from the dance world! Please join us for an unforgettable evening of entertainment in our state-of-the-art studios for our annual “Live From Studio 4” event.
We were thrilled to welcome NYCB Principal dancer Tyler Angle to our studios this past Saturday for two master classes with our students.
Tyler Angle is a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet. He joined as an apprentice in 2003 and within just 6 years, was promoted to principal dancer. He has danced in many featured roles with the NYCB including works by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Jerome Robbins, Justin Peck, Alexei Ratmansky, and many other world-renowned choreographers.
Tyler, our students thank you for bringing such energy, passion, and fun the ballet technique. You are an exceptional teacher and hope you will join us again soon!
