I’m proud of each physique , they all served me and the season I was in at the time. I also love looking back at the physical growth because that never comes without an emotional , spiritual and mental evolution.

4 weeks out …
This is the point in prep when managing the mental aspect is as much work as the physical . Here are a few things that help me finish strong :
✅ Don’t compare your journey to others … just don’t, mute your socials if you need to but it won’t serve you at all.
✅ Prep your food … period
✅ Reduce mental load wherever possible.
✅ Extend yourself grace. Life doesn’t stand still while you prep which means every day won’t be perfect. It’s ok … move on and do better tomorrow
✅Avoid complaining , especially to your spouse or significant other. Competing is selfish and those who support you sacrifice alongside you. You chose this ! Own it
✅ Don’t wait until the last minute to figure out stage wear, photoshoot outfits etc. Nothing gets easier the deeper into the cut you go.
✅ Lastly, be present and enjoy each moment . Show day will be here soon enough. Prep is a transformative process. You will learn a lot about yourself, your integrity and your ability to do hard things and you don’t want to miss it !

Do it anyway 🌅

This day was hard … really hard. I was navigating my role as a brand new mom and nothing in my life was recognizable . Not my body, not my emotions, not my schedule… nothing.
I remember feeling insecure and lost and disappointed because I thought signing up to do a beach photoshoot would make me feel more “myself”. What I didn’t understand is that “myself” had changed dramatically since becoming a Mom. I was no longer the same woman as a year ago but was desperately trying to be her anyway.
.
I learned a lot from that experience. Despite being in a beautiful place surrounded by great people and doing something I loved, I had not done the inner work to love where I was. It was a turning point …. It was the moment I realized my need to feel “ready” was hijacking the present moment.
.
When I look back on these photos I get a little bit emotional and grateful that I have them. I see a woman who was trying to regain her footing while surrendering into a completely foreign life and identity . I’m proud of her for doing it anyways … for signing up and following through despite the insecurities. I want to tell her that one day soon she will land again. She will fully embrace not only her role as a mother but any other role she chooses to pursue.
.
All this to say … do the thing… do the shoot, sign up for the show, whatever it is, do it. You won’t feel ready maybe ever so just dive in. Once you take action towards a goal you will grow into the person who is “ready”.

Ready is not a thing so go for it .
