EMPRESS COLLECTIVE IS PIVOTING! As most of my clients are bridal hair and makeup, this means my services are best offered to my clients convenience. This means, I am on location 90% of the time as a mobile artist, therefor being in a commercial space makes no sense 🤷♀️ for my regular clients I will be continuing to offer my services from home 🤍
What this also means is that my gorgeous North Perth space is available to take over (including the fit out!) ideally from July! This also means there is capacity for short term lease or day rates for you!

I also have a some really big changes happening behind the scenes over the next couple of months. Running a small business feels like I am constantly thinking on my feet, whilst also needing to learn to pivot but on ice as if it’s the first time ice skating plus juggling mum life and fifo wife life and all the other complexities at the same time and hoping not to fall and break a limb through the chaos 🫠
In saying that, I am soo looking forward to the rest of 2024 and the brides that I get to share their wedding day’s with 🤍

✨ From Makeup Artist to Model ✨
I honestly believe when you set good intentions the universe delivers and if last night wasn’t a big enough sign then I don’t know what else could be!
I started the afternoon as part of the @ameemakeupartistry working on the models hair and makeup for @azulantakora_thelabel and @perthfashionclub event on @theraftperth . The dresses were stunning and the models were all so beautiful, but with some unfortunately needing to cancel last minute I was invited to join as part of the runway models AND I got to wear the incredible closing piece, the most magical princess wedding dress ✨
@fashionannexbychaynika put on an incredible event. Hearing @amberjayne_15 tell her story was so inspiring to always follow what makes you happy through the ups and downs of life, @bernadette_maree and @alexander_circosta were great MC’s with the tastiest macaroons from @crumbs_patisserie_ and meeting fellow industry workers like james.distefano.photo james.distefano.photo was such a great reminder of how important it is to connect with people and the importance of creatives uniting together 🫶
When I did a remake of the viral banana skin makeup. Ooft this was so much fun and had me in my feels! I love submerging myself with makeup, it truely is a form of self expression and art. 🍌
Experimenting with different products and different textures forces you out of your comfort zone. I feel like it’s easy to become complacent to put out content of what we think our paying customers will prefer to see and what looks standardised on our feed but it’s ok to do what you really love and show the other side of your creative self, the side that gives you butterfly’s when you are working, the side that gets you immersed in the creative zone.
That’s when I am at my happiest and when I couldn’t give two shits what the algorithm wants to see or what trending audio I should be using or what the meta gods say I should be doing to get more views etc. Don’t get me wrong as I do LOVE being a bridal makeup artist just as much although I could literally do creative makeup all day long but for me, right now, the reality is that it doesn’t pay the bills 😅
I am always open to collabing with other individuals who would like to get their creative justices flowing though so dm if you would like to paint faces together 🎨🖼️🧑🏽🎨

Did you know my preferred lip products for makeup applications is @maccosmeticsanz prep and prime lip primer paired with a lip pencil applied all over the lips as a stand alone colour. Using the lip primer first assist the lip pencil to glide smoothly over the lips as well as increasing the longevity of the lip pencil. I prefer a lip pencil as a stand alone colour all over the lips as it wears evenly while eating and drinking and the transfer is minimal. This lip pencil colour is called ‘subculture’ from MAC.

Now don’t get me wrong - I LOVE a good filter! But I do think there is a time and a place for filters and I do think you should be able to showcase your work with and without filters. I started working as a MUA a longgg time ago. Way before filters were ever invented. (Yes. I am a tenured artist 😅🤭).
I love skin and my trained eyes can see the beauty in everybody’s skin and I truely believe that we should be celebrating our selves at our most vulnerable.
Now, that doesn’t mean I don’t love a full coverage but having the skill and experience to be able to keep your skin looking like skin is where it’s at!
The current temperature in perth right now is 42.5 Celsius degrees and I have used the @avocadozinc lip and cheek tint on our clients cheeks (which is SPF 50 🤩🥰)
