This film from our Circle of Life series narrates about Sarla Jain from Nagpur, who stopped waiting for opportunities rather created one, amidst all the odds that she faced. Sarla was married at a very young age and faced spousal-abandonment. She was left helpless with nobody to support her.
Sarla moved to Jodhpur where she worked in several houses as a house-help. She was even pushed to cook food at hostels.
She came to know about the loans offered at Equitas Small Finance Bank. She initially availed a loan for Rs. 15,000 and bought some artisan items to venture into a garment boutique. Her venture took off and she gave employment opportunities to three groups of ladies, twelve in each.
