With a budget of €93.5 billion for 2021-27, Horizon Europe is the world’s largest R&I programme.
From now on, Canadian researchers will work together with European scientists on a wide range of domains, such as:

It's an EU regulation that sets a new standard for green products in the EU – prioritising circularity, energy efficiency, and overall sustainability.

Let’s team up to expand the European education 🎓
With the latest Erasmus+ call, we have achieved our 2022 goal by supporting a network of 64 European Universities Alliances, encompassing over 560 higher education institutions!
The alliances are groups of universities that play a key role in bringing together young Europeans who can study and work in:
🇪🇺 different European countries
🌍 different languages
👩 across sectors
👩🏫 across academic disciplines
Thanks to them, students, staff and researchers from all parts of Europe can enjoy seamless mobility in 35 countries, enriching their curricula.

EU leaders elected @antoniocostapm as President of the European Council, proposed @ursulavonderleyen as candidate for European Commission President and @kajakallas as the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the Commission.
What comes next?
📌 The @europeanparliament elects the new President of the Commission by an absolute majority of its members.
📌 the HR/VP will appear in a hearing before the European Parliament, as part of the College of Commissioners.
The Commission president, the HR/VP and the other Commissioners will, as a body, be subject to a vote of consent by the European Parliament before their formal appointment by the @eucouncil .

🇪🇺 The euro is a symbol of Europe’s unity and strength.
25 years ago, we embarked on the bold path of launching a single currency.
Today, that dream keeps blowing across our Union.
We have asked citizens of 🇧🇬, 🇨🇿, 🇭🇺, 🇵🇱, 🇷🇴, 🇸🇪, the six nations gearing up for the euro, what they think about the single currency.
Here is the result: 👇
💶 58% are in favour of their country introducing the euro;
💶 59% think that the common currency has had a positive impact on those countries already using it;
💶 53% believe introducing the euro would have positive consequences for their own country.
As these countries move closer to joining the euro area, our commitment to support them in their journey stays strong.

It is focused on reducing the social and economic disparities within the 🇪🇺 and one of its goals is to create local jobs at heritage sites and attract visitors to specific cities and locations.
For example, it helped:
🇲🇹 restore the medieval Cittadella of Gozo
🇮🇹 recover a historical building seized from criminal organisations in Matera
🇫🇷 protect the biodiversity and ecosystem of the maritime area around Mont Saint Michel
🇸🇮 transform an old glass factory into a culture and arts centre in Ptuj
