Dear Harrison Butker:
Women have fought tirelessly for the rights we enjoy today. Just a century ago, we were denied the fundamental right to vote, but through perseverance and determination, women led the charge in the suffrage movement, securing this essential right for future generations. Since then, women have continued to push boundaries and challenge norms in every facet of society.
Throughout history, women like Marie Curie and Ada Lovelace have made invaluable contributions to innovation and invention, while icons like Rosa Parks and Malala Yousafzai have inspired millions with their courage and resilience.
Today, women continue to defy expectations, excelling in fields traditionally dominated by men and driving positive change in every aspect of society. However, despite this progress, women still face systemic injustices and gender-based discrimination.
It’s challenging to combat injustice when influential voices perpetuate outdated views of women’s roles, suggesting that women’s primary purpose lies solely in motherhood or domesticity. As we celebrate women’s achievements, it’s crucial to recognize the ongoing struggle for gender equality and work together to create a more inclusive world.
I finished my BS in Psychology and Sociology in 3.5 years, graduating with highest honors while working 32 hours a week, interning at the DOJ for 8 hours a week, and being Miss Montana. I now work a fulfilling job changing the lives of youth through Scouting America. Women work tirelessly to excel because many, like you, think we can’t.
We are here to prove them wrong, especially you Harrison Butker. Go kick a ball.
Happy 4/06 day. AKA, Montana day!! Why do we love our area code 406 so much? Because in the entire state of Montana, we only have ONE area code!!
I’m so grateful for all my state has given me, including the title of Miss Montana, which I am forever thankful for. I couldn’t ask to live in a better or more beautiful state.
