Mania, a white weight to defend anyway, to know, to dip one's self. Depression, the deep black, the soul in splinters, broken, like everything around you. A second shadow that rests and weighs on your shoulders. When you become transparent with yourself, like the water of the bubble that you carry with you in every moment, you see that light, which is called health, healing. SEVEN DEADLY SINS I recently was reading the works of the Italian poet Dante Alighieri, and his 14th-century poem The Divine Comedy. His depiction of purgatory and his "Seven Terraces of Vices I found were dark, eloquent and highly visual. I wanted to depict my own version of what Purgatory would look like in our modern age. I found sedentary life of a suburban landscape an interesting version and what I felt like could be my own version of purgatory.
