APPRECIATION POST 💌✨💭 Words cannot express how much gratitude I have for all of my beautiful friends, family and partner for all of the love and support I received on Saturday! Having you all there on the day made me feel SO special & the day wouldn’t have been half as amazing if I didn’t have you all there cheering me on in the crowd! Firstly a special shoutout to my partner @ric_hyy . Sharing the same passion for bodybuilding with you it’s something I will never take for granted. Not only did we prep together but Richy was my go to person on the day. Obviously with the guidance of my amazing coach @tim_1pcntrs , Richy was running around all day for me, telling me what to do and when to do it. I’ve never seen the man so stressed HAHA but he did the most incredible job & kept his cool when I was in Lala land soaking up the day a little too much hehe (sorry). I am so blessed to have you in my corner and having you there with me backstage for my ICN debut is a memory I will cherish forever. Secondly I want to thank @chiarahh_fit AKA Perths BEST MUA. Your talent, patience and creativity are second to none and I am BLESSED to call you on of my best friends. The makeup was THE VISION and I’m so thankful you dedicated an entire 3 hours to painting my face and another 382783236 watching me compete! I love you so much. @thebeautibarperth @mackenzie_eesome for slaying my hair every god damn time, there’s a reason why I’ve followed you to every salon you’ve worked at for 7 years. Your blowdrys are insane and my hair still looks good four days later prrrrr @caitlinlouise.fit , @aleishahallfit , @beth__active , @chiarahh_fit & @kendalrosebarden for being my ultimate hype girls on the day. Spending the entire day with me: carrying my bags, food and getting all of the BTS. You girls are my world and I am so blessed to have you all by my side through prep. Special shoutout to kendal for flying over from Bali to see me - I am one lucky girl. @kathryncavanagh_ Your patience, calm presence & encouragement are everything a bikini girl needs during prep. “I’ll start on Monday”. This was a phrase that I used to say constantly 🥲 For those of you who have only met the disciplined, motivated & healthy version of me… I haven’t always been this way. TRUST ME. I was the girl who would eat take away way more than i’d like to admit. I would make excuses to not exercise. I preferred going out on the weekend and partying. I had a gym membership for years before I started properly training. I wanted to reach certain body composition goals but lacked the knowledge & discipline to put the work in & change. I never ever thought I’d actually enjoy training let alone have visible abs 😅 Saying you’ll start Monday every time you make a mistake in your fitness journey will only set you back! If you make a mistake, that is OKAY. Acknowledge the mistake & move on. Skipped a training day? That’s okay, train tomorrow. Fell off track with your nutrition? Make sure your next meal is full of nutritious food!! The reality is there is never going to be a perfect time to start! You will have set backs & journey may not be linear!! Why start Monday when you can start now? Literally what are you waiting for??? Discipline, consistency & delayed gratification are something I’ve learnt over the years. My life would have looked so different if I had learnt these habits earlier in my life. SO take it from me & start now. You’re the only person in your way 🤍✨

Here are some habits I implement to ensure a clear transition from “work mode” to “bed time” which sets the tone for a good night of rest 😴 👉🏼 Watching the sunset I’ve always found sunsets to be so magic. You never know what different colours the sky will be lit up with. It’s a subtle way for me to slow down, be present and practise gratitude by appreciating the daily delights that life presents us with 👉🏼 Comfy Pj’s You best believe I’m having a warm shower & putting on my matching set of pjs. Once I’m in my pyjamas I am switching off & there is 0 chance I am doing any more work. 👉🏼 Turning off the harsh ceiling light Using a lamp helps me transition to bedtime due to the low illuminance and warm colour temperature. 👉🏼 Blue light blockers Screen time before bed can keep your mind stimulated which delays bedtime. I like to use a blue light blocker to prevent any disruption to my sleep Why is light so important when it comes to our sleep?💡 Light plays a central role in regulating circadian rhythm, the body’s internal clock that signals when to be alert and when to rest. Light also affects the production of melatonin, an essential sleep-promoting hormone. 👉🏼 Journalling It’s as simple as clearing my mind by moving thoughts from the brain to paper. This helps me understand myself & situations better 👉🏼 I’ve also recently started leaving my phone in the next room which has also helped me get out of bed to turn off the alarm on those chilly mornings! I am by no means saying you NEED to do these things. These are things that I enjoy doing to ensure I’m maximising my chances at a good night of rest and recover 😴✨

it’s giving chicken & rice but make it fancy 🍗🍚🥑 If you plan on staying on track while you’re in Bali, it is super easy! There are so many options when it comes to health food cafes. My advice is just keep it simple, stick with what you know & make sure you’re including your protein, carbs, fats & fibre in every meal 🥑 You can still enjoy meals out when staying on track, it’s just about educating yourself & making smart choices with your food. If you’re training on holiday you want to ensure you’re FUELLING your sessions, there’s nothing worse than feeling like shit while you’re training because you haven’t eaten enough or consuming balanced meals 🍳🥗🍚 If you’re stuck with what to do with your nutrition, need guidance or accountability?
