Hello! It’s me, Davida Buggs, the woman behind the Flowers by Lady Buggs blooms. It’s been far too long since my last intro and I thought I’d share a bit about me.
I’m a native Angeleno but lived in Santa Barbara for 16 years. At one point I thought I’d never leave but life throws you curve balls and LA called me home. I moved, met and married my handsome husband and we have our two incredible boys.
I’m so blessed to be in this beautiful floral design industry. Not only do I get to design for beautiful couples but I also work shoulder to shoulder with some talented creatives, many that have become friends. And when I can, I do a bit of freelancing which has opened new doors and experiences. I truly love what I do!
I’m an introvert, so sharing and putting my face out there is tough but I welcome all my new followers and hope to put a face to my name.
Thank you for following along and let me know if there’s anything that you’re interested in hearing about!

Let’s talk about designing with purple. While blush and white are by far the most popular wedding colors, I have a deep appreciation for incorporating more vibrant hues into the wedding day. I loved the touches of purple, lavender and periwinkle blue that made Ryan and Melissa’s wedding so uniquely their own and such a dream to design. I must say that their color palette was something that I just can’t get enough of.
Working with my clients and getting to know their unique love stories is an absolute joy and a constant source of inspiration for my floral design business. Every couple has a special story that adds so much depth to my creative process, allowing me to create designs that are not only beautiful but also incredibly personal. The connections we build during our time together leave a lasting impression on me, as their love stories become a part of my own journey. This connection keeps my passion alive and makes it impossible to imagine doing anything else. Designing for such amazing people isn’t just a job—it’s a heartfelt adventure that keeps me loving what I do.

We don’t just sell flowers, we curate unforgettable experiences and design beautiful events! Often times these take months and sometimes years to plan and implement.
We don’t just sell flowers, we have strong vendor relationships to ensure quality products and cohesive designs for your day.
We don’t just sell flowers, I have a talented team to help bring the vision to life. Whether it’s creating elaborate wedding arrangements, or innovative installations for events. To learn/maintain our skills it takes time, education and money.
Selling flowers involves a lot more than just the stems , there’s so much more behind the blooms.

Fall and winter weddings have their unique charm and advantages. Here are some reasons why many couples opt for weddings during these seasons and why I love them!
1. Scenic Beauty: from stunning foliage to glistening snowscapes and a cozy, romantic atmosphere.
3. Comfortable Temperatures - In some regions, fall and winter offer milder temperatures than the scorching heat of summer or the unpredictability of spring.
4. Unique Florals and Decor - Fall weddings can incorporate natural elements like pumpkins, hay bales, and fall blooms, while winter weddings evergreens and seasonal berries.
5. Cozy Atmosphere - Fall and winter weddings often lend themselves to a cozy and intimate ambiance, perfect for warm gatherings and heartfelt moments with loved ones.
6. Seasonal Food and Drinks - These seasons provide the opportunity to serve delicious comfort food like hearty stews, pumpkin pies, or hot chocolate bars, adding a special touch to your menu.
7. And let’s not forget FASHION CHOICES! Brides and grooms can opt for stylish and elegant attire suited to the cooler weather. Long-sleeve gowns, faux fur wraps, and sharp tuxedos are popular choices for fall and winter weddings.
