Some like it rough. For @bruce_gilden , it’s second-nature.
Last night, we opened the doors to “Bruce Gilden: Why These?,” a showcase of Gilden’s favorite works from across the globe, including some never-before-seen images captured over the last few years. To kick off the evening, Gilden took the stage with friend and poet @maxblagg to dive deeper into the psyche and stories behind Gilden’s iconic imagery–from street-wise tales of dangerous close encounters to the evolution of his use of flash in photography.
Now on view, “Why These?” combines Gilden’s renowned black-and-white street photography with large-scale color portraits, illustrating deep emotion from the hardened characters he’s drawn to. Learn more and get tickets at the link in bio.

“She was just a regular girl.”
Last month, fashion designer @elizabethemanuelofficial and hairdresser Richard Dalton paired up to reminisce on their years spent styling Princess Diana (who starred on more PEOPLE Magazine covers than any other person in history!) 👑
The pair shared the details behind the Princess’ legendary wedding dress – Diana didn’t have a specific design direction for Elizabeth, because she trusted that the studio would produce something romantic – and it’s safe to say they delivered! Head to the link in our bio to watch the full conversation.
Be sure to catch “PEOPLE: Celebrating 50 Years” on its final day tomorrow, June 30th, to read PEOPLE’s take on the adored royal and flip through past publications with Diana on the cover!
