Grief is a weird thing, there’s days where you can talk about it for hours without shedding a tear and the next you can’t even get your words out. Loosing a parent is never easy, but loosing the person who brought a smile to your face any chance they had or the person you would call first when you felt like your world was falling apart makes it even harder. It’s been 10 years since my father passed and it still doesn’t seem real, as a kid I use to ask myself silly questions like I won’t have someone to pick me up from school or to take me to the park, now I ask my self who’s going to walk me down the isle or who will my son get to call grandpa? God had other plans for me and although it’s not something that I’m content with it’s something that I’m still learning to understand, I like to believe my father sent me my son to fulfill my heart since his passing, my son resembles my father in many ways, his contagious smile, his dark brown eyes and his head full of hair. Papi, te extraño con locura y siempre te llevaré en mi corazón.
