We’ve seen some great positive steps the past two days but this is no where CLOSE to where we need to be. I really am so moved by the personal stories people shared downtown at the protest at City Hall. If you want to watch any of them, they were posted on @tommy.dorfman page. Hearing their stories really puts this fight in perspective. God’s timing is everything. The fact that we aren’t working like normal allows us the time to unite like never before. It was so amazing to see everyone gathered yesterday. All races. All skin colors. All genders. All ethnicities. All fighting towards this same cause. #BLACKLIVESMATTER I’m calling on all the businesses claiming that they’re going to “make a change” to really follow through on that promise. THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER We have work to do. Police to Defund. Laws to create. People to protect. People to put in jail. I encourage you to take more time out of your day towards this cause. Please post things that help. Links, pre-written emails, or helpful sources. Viral videos are just as important too! Bring visibility to this corruption. Show the great parts of this movement too. In a time when we are being fed so much information, it’s imperative we really second-guess everything and make sure what we are posting is up to date. Today was almost a really negative blackout. Thank you to those who posted all day today despite the “blackout”. Thank you to those who deleted their black square, and posted something alternatively that was informative, such a link to donate, send a letter, or sign a petition. These things continue to be SOO IMPORTANT, as we STILL have yet to see the arrest of all 4 officers, as well as the arrests of so many unlawful black deaths. It makes me happy to see more people that are in my audience post more. IT IS SO IMPORTANT. This issue is not going away without EVERYONE doing their part. DM me more with questions. One thing to keep in mind for Californians, we still have yet to get answers from our governor or mayor about what exactly the state of California is going to do to make this better for Black Lives.
