Many, many moons ago on this day… June 24th, a nerdy, but cute and hilarious guy I had briefly met in a “Magazine Writing” class at Stanford and I had our first date. Sort of.
We had both started internships at The Riverside Press Enterprise—his in photography, mine in features and
on our first night in town we decided to meet up for dinner. We found ourselves at the diner Bob’s Big Boy.
Little did we know we would end up becoming best friends, working at W Magazine and WWD together, falling in love, moving to Italy and back, getting married, raising two Labrador Retrievers, having fabulous kids…and SO much more.
So tonight, in honor of our “first date” which wasn’t actually a “date” at the time, we went to
@bobsbigboyburbank , and had burgers, fries and even a piece of warm cherry pie a la mode. Thanks for keeping me laughing all these years.
