Beyond grateful to have my piece premiered by @gmcwashington at The Kennedy Center! It was an honor to be part of this incredible Portraits Project showcasing the beautiful fabric of humanity with these talented artists, composers, choreographers, singers, dancers, and so many others!

My piece Steeled, based on the portrait by @judithpeck and choreographed by @spontaneousout is inspired by and dedicated to those people who feel like home. I’m so lucky to have many of them in my life, and music has often being the thing that has brought us together. I’m incredibly grateful to GMCW for selecting my piece and allowing these words to touch the hearts of others on the national stage. 🏳️🌈🫶
