This fit needed the full post appreciation it deserves💛💚💙
I did some research and this button design was a print Andy Warhol illustrated when he was a commercial illustrator in the 50’s! I found this handmade smock top, plus a matching one in a different color palette, at a local salvation army💕
Wanna duel?⚔️
90% of this fit is 60s/70s medieval! I bought this vest not even thinking of the ren-faire, but once I tried it on there was no chance I wasn’t gonna pair it with this top the next time I went! So obsessed💕
Best thrifting tips by @goawayemilee !
1. Go consistently! If theres a location you go to and don’t find anything, don’t get discouraged, go back a week later because you truly never know if something will pop up.
2. Estate sales, garage sales, and resale sites are my favorite places to hunt down vintage. I use Estate Sales app and Facebook marketplace to look for them, , or I just drive around and look for signs.
3. Keep an open mind. Especially if you find something thats not quite what you’re looking for, try it out. Thrifting is the best way to explore and find your personal style.
4. Explore! I like to take little weekend/day trips to other towns and cities to shop at their thrift stores, because who knows what you’ll find.
5. Make sure to dig in all the clothes piles and racks because you might miss something if you don’t.
