Today marks 1 year since the soft opening of @moderndaygladiatormma !
Very few people know the risks we took to make this dream a reality. Both of us quit our jobs and we had to borrow a small fortune to get started. However, all it took was faith the side of a mustard seed. We have certainly had our plates full this past year - growing a new business from scratch after becoming new parents has been no easy task but we took a leap of faith and haven’t looked back!! It still blows our mind that we started with absolutely no students to nearly 100 within the first year 🤯
We owe it ALL to God as well as to every single student and our awesome community - the vibe and atmosphere that we have all built here is what continues to push us everyday!! “Do what you love and call it work” When you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life!
We’re truly blessed to do what we love every day and wouldn’t change it for the world! Thank you to everyone that has made this possible and to all of our amazing students that continue to put their trust in us to lead them through their martial arts journey. You’re more than just Modern Day Gladiators, you’ll always be family to us!! We love you all and can’t express our gratitude enough for helping make this dream a reality!
One of the worst days as a coach is when life plucks one of your feathers! Yesterday was Josh Wild’s last day at the gym, life is taking him to south Florida. Although he’s still gonna be stopping in from time to time it won’t be the same without him here! He was definitely a staple at our gym, whether it was helping the beginners or giving the fighters tough rounds Josh was always that guy!! Josh started with me back at American Top Team East Orlando over 7 years ago. When he found out that I was opening a gym, he was on vacation out of the country and sent me a message immediately saying as soon as he got back that he was signing up. Shooo nufff as soon he came back he was in the gym and was a huge piece of our initial success. As we pride ourselves in the vibe and atmosphere we have here, he was a huge piece in setting that vibe and it is truly sad to see him go. He’s gonna be missed by so many of us, it’s not goodbye though. I look forward to the future drop ins and the future rounds. Keep the martial arts path and keep reaching for greatness, you’ll always be family here!!
This is my Mama,
I am asking people who love their Mother, whether they are here or not, to join the challenge of posting a photo of the woman that made you.
Just one photo of your Mother, not a collage or video. The goal is to flood FB with positive photos.
Loving our Mothers and grateful!
