"Volunteering with GOTR allows me to contribute to a cause I am passionate about: fostering the development of strong, self-assured young women who are equipped to handle the challenges they face in life today as well as years down the road. I don't remember much from elementary school, but the memories and lessons I learned from Girls on the Run have stuck with me all these years. As someone who values a balanced, healthy lifestyle, I am excited about the opportunity to encourage girls to embrace running and other physical activities. By doing so, I can help them develop lifelong habits that support both their physical and mental health. I believe in the power of mentorship and the positive impact a role model can have on a young woman's life. Volunteering with GOTR provides a platform to be a positive influence, offering guidance, support, and encouragement to girls as they navigate growing up. My GOTR coach was a role model in my life and I want to be that for other girls."
Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, one of the 10 oldest women’s organizations in North America, is celebrating 150 years! Since their historic start, their members have inspired girls with the confidence to dream big and become the female leaders of tomorrow. We’re proud to have served as their philanthropic partner, and together, we are Building Strong Girls! How? Their members volunteer their time, talents, and treasures to our council.
