We are on the move. The journey to @misssupranational has awakened a love for ambassadorship. This morning, I was fortunate to sit down with the Minister of Health the Honorable Terrence Deyalsingh @tdeyalsingh1 and the Directorate of Women’s Health at the Ministry of Health to learn about some of the good work being championed by the Ministry and to offer my support as a medical doctor, Women’s Health educator and advocate. At the end of this morning's meeting, I've discovered some major advancements of which I am very proud since more women and their children will benefit from a better quality of life, namely: ✨️ In 2018 (12 years before the estimated time), Trinidad & Tobago met the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) in the reduction of maternal mortality. #passion #progress #growth #development @unsdgambassadorstt | @misssupranational ✨️ More initiatives in the pregnancy sector for diabetes in women by distributing glucose meters to pregnant women to reduce non-communicable diseases. ✨️ Updates to the National Clinical and Policy Guidelines on intimate parter violence and sexual violence in T&T. ✨️ The institution of child friendly hospitals for breastfeeding mothers at the Sangre Grande Hospital and Mt. Hope Children's Hospital.
