Meet the people of HC. Say hi to our CEO and co-founder, Jordan Fogle. Why the name HomeCourt? We liked the connotation of HomeCourt, it feels comfortable and familiar. If you have ever been to a live sporting event, you know how good it feels to root for the home team, the energy, the camaraderie, the good vibes. Our Mint offices are located in the same building, we also liked the play on words/idea of giving ourselves a home court advantage. What do you love most about Toronto’s creative scene? The creative scene in Toronto is aspirational. We have some of the smartest and most creative minds in the world here in Toronto. It’s our diversity that I believe is the main ingredient in our special sauce as a creative scene. We have it all here in Toronto. Go-to lunch spot on Ossington? There are so many, for take out I love Superpoint, Mandy’s and Pho Tien Thanh or Golden Turtle, I average 1-2 Pho’s a week. For dine in, I’m a big fan of Manita, love their shakshuka. What creative advice do you live by? Don’t be afraid to fail. I feel that I have learned some of my best lessons by failing. It’s also what continues to push me and never give up on myself. Creativity comes in different shapes and sizes, It’s not for everyone all the time, it’s a process, stick with it. Describe the culture in Ossington in three words. Diverse, Cool, and Unbashful.
