AWAKE is a new theatre work that explores the public rituals of farewell alongside the more private face of grieving.
Join local theatre maker @lisa_tilley_smith to see a sample of the work she’s been making with collaborator and multi-instrumentalist Vicky Falconer (Once Darlinghurst Theatre, Fringe Wives Club, Co-Artistic Director Hayes Theatre Sydney) through her ArtKeeper residency. Embark on a journey of epic proportions this weekend as our new Gallery 3 exhibition opens, A Bigger View.
Made possible through the Australian Government’s ‘Sharing the National Collection’ initiative, the exhibition brings together two masterpieces from the National Gallery of Australia, David Hockney’s ‘A Bigger Grand Canyon’ and Imants Tillers ‘Mount Analogue’, alongside works from HOTA’s Collection. Spanning decades and continents, each epic in scale and subject, these paintings demonstrate various approaches to landscape painting.
